Love your current boat, but hate the roll? Add A Seakeeper!

More than 25% of all Seakeeper units shipped are for refit installations!

We get the question all the time: “Can I add a Seakeeper to my boat?” In most cases, the answer is yes! A vast majority of builders are now designing their models with Seakeeper in mind, further increasing the ease in which Seakeeper refits can be performed.

Key Benefits
  • Active Control: Seakeeper’s active control optimizes gyro torque, providing an unsurpassed level of performance. Unlike a passively controlled gyro, which must be turned off in the roughest conditions and/ or at higher speeds, the Seakeeper is effective at all speeds and can be used in all sea conditions.

  • Vacuum Sealed: Seakeeper’s vacuum encapsulation enables the flywheel to spin roughly three times faster, cuts flywheel weight by two-thirds, and halves power requirements. Moreover, because the critical components (flywheel, bearings, and motor) are sealed in a vacuum, they are isolated from the marine environment.
  • Innovative Cooling System: Patented cooling system enables the flywheel to spin at high speeds inside of the vacuum containment.

The Seakeeper 1 is designed to eliminate up to 95% of boat roll on vessel 23-30 feet (7-9 meters) or up to ~ 5.5 tons. It features a flush-mount design for easier installation, runs exclusively on 12V DC power, viewing window, control keypad on the unit, and can be installed virtually anywhere onboard.blank spaceInside a vacuum-enclosed sphere, a steel flywheel spins at speeds of up to 9,750 rpm. When the boat rolls, the Seakeeper tilts fore and aft (precesses), producing a powerful gyroscopic torque to port and starboard that counteracts the boat roll.

Fast Installation

The average refit installation ranges from 1-3 weeks. For smaller boats, a unique leaning post design enables a refit to be done in as little as 48 hours.
